NIMAA Tools Overview

As a NIMAA student, you’ll use a variety of digital tools to support your learning, stay organized, and connect with your instructors and classmates.

Learning Platforms

Populi
 Your main hub for coursework, assignments, grades, communication, and program progress. You’ll use Populi daily.
McGraw-Hill Connect
Hosts your online textbooks, homework, labs, and quizzes. Access it directly through Populi.
CU Anschutz Medical Campus Modules
Offers interprofessional learning modules. You’ll create an account, complete modules, and upload certificates in Populi.
Simtics
An online simulation platform for practicing and demonstrating medical assistant skills. Also accessed through Populi.
LIRN Library and Resource Center
An online library you can access from the syllabus page in each course. Provides academic resources and research tools.

 Use this tool to schedule meetings with instructors, student services, or financial aid. https://app.10to8.com/book/nimaa/
Zoho Knowledge Base & Ticketing System
Your one-stop shop for tech support. Search FAQs or submit a ticket. Expect a reply within 2 business days.
 

Video Conferencing

Zoom
Used for virtual meetings, instructor office hours, and some live sessions. 
 

Tools & Communication

Office 365 (NIMAA Email)
You’ll use your NIMAA.EDU email to receive all official communication. Office 365 also gives you access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.
Educational Discounts
Your NIMAA email may qualify you for student discounts on software, streaming services, and more. Be cautious with subscriptions—you lose EDU access after 8 months.
