Accessing Seminars, Huddles and Skills Labs

Accessing Seminars, Huddles and Skills Labs

The Conference tab is where you go to access synchronous sessions, such as weekly seminars, huddles and skills labs. For most sessions, you will receive a calendar reminder to your email prior to the session once your instructor has started up the Zoom for the session. An alert will also appear on your dashboard about upcoming sessions.

To access a live Zoom meeting:
  1. Go to the course containing the live Zoom session. Specifically, go to Core Skills for huddles and skills labs.
  2. Click Conferences in the left nav. The Conferences page displays showing all in progress, scheduled and concluded meetings.
  3. Once the meeting has been started by your instructor, the conference will appear in the In Progress section. Click the Join Conference link. Zoom will launch on your computer, and the meeting will start. If you do not have Zoom installed on your device, it will walk you through installing it the first time you access a meeting.

  4. After the meeting concludes, the meeting will move to the Concluded section of the page, and the Zoom recording will automatically appear once it has been generated (this may take some time). Click on the recording button to view a recording of the session.
