Setting Up Your Student Email Account (Office 365)
Setting Up Your Student Email Account (Office 365)
Welcome to NIMAA!
When you join the NIMAA program, you’ll get an official student Office 365 account with email (e.g., FirstName.LastName24@nimaa.edu). This is the email where all NIMAA communications will be sent, so it’s important to set it up quickly and check it often.
Your NIMAA email login details are also used for accessing other NIMAA systems, like Populi, which is your student dashboard for grades, payments, coursework, and more.
How to Access Your NIMAA Email:
Step 1: Download the Microsoft Authenticator App to your phone
Enter your NIMAA email address: it is your Populi username with @nimaa.edu at the end. (Example John.Smith@nimaa.edu)
Click Next and enter your password. You can find your temporary password in the Populi info tab. You'll be prompted to change it after logging in for the first time.
You should have a screen with a QR code now. Scan that QR code with your phone inside of the authenticator app.
Return to your computer and hit next and next again.
Finally, you can login using the code which will generate inside of the app.
Step 3: Add Your NIMAA Email to Your Devices
For Computers: You can add your NIMAA email to your Outlook or any other email client. (If it is a work computer, you may need to request permission from your work IT).
