In some cases, students will be eligible for a refund, if their financial aid package is higher than the cost of tuition and fees. Financial aid is applied to your account in two installments or what are referred to as "payment periods". The first installment is in the beginning of the program, and the second installment is shortly after the mid-way point of the program. Accordingly, any financial aid refunds you are due you will also receive in two payments - after the financial aid has been applied to your account. You have the option of receiving the refund as a physical check or via ACH. ACH is an electronic fund transfer directly from NIMAA to your bank. We strongly recommend you sign up for ACH, if you wish to get your money faster, as checks take time to arrive through the postal mail and then to clear your bank.
