Enrollment Agreements

Enrollment Agreements

In order to enroll in NIMAA, you are required to sign an enrollment agreement. Enrollment agreements are legal contracts between NIMAA and yourself. Please only sign once you are sure that you are 100% committed to enrolling in the program. More information regarding the NIMAA enrollment agreement can be found in the NIMAA Catalog.

NIMAA will send you the enrollment agreement for signature once the following conditions are complete:
  1. You were offered and then accepted admissions
  2. Your Proof of Identification and Proof of Education have been verified by a NIMAA representative.
  3. Your background check is complete and meets NIMAA's requirements for enrollment.

Signing and Viewing Your Enrollment Agreement

For Students Age 18 and Over at the Time of Signature

  1. You will receive an email regarding the enrollment agreement, once sent, with a link to digitally sign.
You can also find, sign and/or review after signing the agreement in Populi at Home > My Profile > Financial > By Term under the Enrollment Agreement panel on the right. If you do not see your enrollment agreement listed, ensure you have the correct cohort you are entering in listed in the dropdown next to "Show". Your cohort will be listed as either Spring or Fall and the year you are starting the program. For example, if you are enrolling to start in March 2024, your cohort is Spring 2024, or S24.

  2. To digitally sign the enrollment agreement, either click on the link in the Enrollment Agreement email, or click on the agreement link from your Financial tab in Populi. The enrollment agreement displays.

  3. Review the document carefully. As a reminder, this is a legal contract between NIMAA and you, which has financial obligations associated with it.
  4. Then, when you are ready to sign, simply click the checkbox at the bottom. Then click Sign and Save. The following message displays as the agreement is digitally signed.

You are then redirected to your Financial tab in Populi, where you will see that your enrollment agreement is now tagged as 'Signed' under the Enrollment Agreements panel.
  5. At any time, you can click on the signed agreement to view, print and/or download it. Upon opening the document, if you hover over it with your mouse, a number of icons will display as shown below.
  6. Click the  icon to download it to your computer, and then open it on your computer to view or print.

For Students Under Age 18 at the Time of Signature

Students under the age of 18 at the time of signature must have a parent or guardian co-sign their enrollment agreement. This applies even to students who will turn 18 either before the start of the program or before graduation from the program.
  1. Once you have met the required onboarding steps as noted above, you will receive an email entitled NIMAA Enrollment Agreement with a PDF file attached.
The PDF file contains a number of fields you need to complete (i.e., name, address, date of birth, email, phone number), and then includes signature lines for both your parent/legal guardian and yourself.
  2. Review the document carefully. As a reminder, this is a legal contract between NIMAA and you, which has financial obligations associated with it.
  3. Then, when you are ready to sign, either:
    1. Digitally complete these fields using Adobe Reader (see this article for more information on how to do so), or
    2. Print out the file and complete it manually by hand.
  4. If you completed the file:
    1. Digitally: Save the file with your name appended to the end of the filename.
    2. Manually: Scan the file using either a scanner machine or scanner app (e.g. the Notes app on iPhones and iPads has scanner functionality. Click here for more information.)
  5. Send the signed file by email to admissions@nimaa.edu. Alternatively, simply reply to the original enrollment agreement email you received.
  6. The NIMAA admissions team will then review the file, countersign it, and upload it to your Populi account, where you can find it at Home > My Profile > Financial > By Term under the Enrollment Agreement panel on the right.

  7. At any time, you can click on the signed agreement to view, print and/or download it. Upon opening the document, if you hover over it with your mouse, a number of icons will display as shown below.
  8. Click the  icon to download it to your computer, and then open it on your computer to view or print.
